Claude Monet lived in Givenry in France and his house now stands as a living museum with his works, his beautiful Japanese Garden and Japanese woodcut paints. Apart from all these Givenry is a very romantic place for an artist and for anyone else.

Givenry is a district in France - and Claude Monet lived there - Claude Monet was the one of the most reverred artist in the field of painting known as Impressionism. The term Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting Impression, Sunrise.
Claude Monet’s House in Givenry is a living Museum and seems that the artist might drop in any momnet to chat with you. His originals and replica’s are there together with an excellent collection of Japanese woodcut works - he loved to entertain guests - a vivid dining hall and a fully equipped bright kitchen still stand witness. he had Japanese artists among others like Renoir as his guest to work in his place.
His Japanese Garden is equally famous where he painted many of his masterpieces. Btw - photography is strictly prohibited in this house but I managed to shoot a few shots from my waist level pouch holding my handy-cam.
